Method Instructions
Take the quote and determine the size by measuring accordingly, square it up if needed to. Now you are going to use the quilt method without the batting attached. Measure the sides of the square and cut out 2 pieces of fabric to the length square, with 2 1/2 inches wide. Sew them on each side with a 1/4 inch seam. Press seams open. Measure the top and bottom at width. Cut out two pieces of fabric at that size with 2 1/2 inches and stitch one to top and one to bottom. Press the seams open. Press and square up evenly. Cut a piece of batting and piece of fabric for the back. Place the fabric right sides together with batting on top. Stitch all around pivoting each corner and leaving a 1 to 2 inch unstitched area for the purposes of turning it to the right side. Press and secure corners. Top stitch.
